SACRAMENTO, CA – Crime Victims United today announced its endorsement of prosecutor Thien Ho for Sacramento County District Attorney.
Crime Victims United, a leading community and public safety advocate, said in a statement by founder Harriet Salarno:
"Thien Ho is a respected crime victims advocate with a commanding grasp of the criminal justice system. As a prosecutor, Thien Ho is the only candidate who has prioritized crime victims and worked with our organization on collaborative solutions to give a voice to victims and families. Crime Victims United is proud to back Thien Ho as the only choice for Sacramento County District Attorney."
“I am honored that Crime Victims United has endorsed and entrusted me to safeguard the rights of crime victims and families,” said Thien Ho, Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney at the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office. “I will focus on safety and not politics, making sure that the voices of victims are always heard and respected.”
Ho’s campaign announced last month his race has opened a wide lead in fundraising with more than $519,000 in 2021.
As a refugee who fled Vietnam seeking freedom and opportunities for a better life, Thien Ho is the embodiment of the American Dream. As a lawyer with 23 years of experience, Thien has pursued justice every time he steps into the courtroom. As a deputy district attorney, Thien has prosecuted the most violent and dangerous criminals, including the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. As the Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County, Thien manages and oversees an entire bureau of lawyers who protect the public, collaborate with community partners, and guard the integrity of the criminal justice system.
