Notable list of 14 retired judges back accomplished and
veteran prosecutor Thien Ho for DA
SACRAMENTO – A distinguished list comprised of 14 retired judges from California’s Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, and also the Superior Court of California, Sacramento County announced their endorsement of prosecutor Thien Ho in his campaign for Sacramento County District Attorney. Judges are permitted to endorse candidates for public office in retirement. “My campaign for District Attorney has received broad support from all the partners in our justice system—prosecutors, public defenders and now a long list of judges,” said Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney Thien Ho. “I am honored to receive the endorsement from some of the most respected, distinguished and accomplished judges who have served in Sacramento County as well as the Sacramento Region.” Among those backing Thien Ho for District Attorney include the following: California’s Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District:

The prominent group of retired judges join a large and growing coalition of Sacramento County leaders and organizations, including Congressman Ami Bera (D-Sacramento), Senator Richard Pan (D-Sacramento), Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desmond and the Sacramento Metro Chamber PAC.
Ho’s campaign has opened a wide lead in fundraising, raising $800,000 since 2021. As a refugee who fled Vietnam seeking freedom and opportunities for a better life, Thien Ho is the embodiment of the American Dream. As a lawyer with 23 years of experience, Thien has pursued justice every time he steps into the courtroom. As a deputy district attorney, Thien has prosecuted the most violent and dangerous criminals, including the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. As the Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County, Thien manages and oversees an entire bureau of lawyers who protect the public, collaborate with community partners, and guard the integrity of the criminal justice system.
