Sheet Metal Workers' Union Local 104 Chooses Thien Ho in Race for District Attorney

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sheet Metals Workers’ Union No. 104 today announced its endorsement of Thien Ho in his campaign for Sacramento County District Attorney, joining a growing list of prominent elected, law enforcement and community leaders supporting him.

Spanning 49 counties across California with 12,000 members, Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union No. 104 Representative Robert Kuks said of the membership’s endorsement:

“Thien Ho’s proven leadership is the right choice for Sacramento County District Attorney, especially now as working people demand progress on priorities that really matter to our families. Sheet Metal Workers’ Local No. 104 is endorsing Thien Ho because we know that he will stand with our working families to protect their quality of life and build a stronger community.”

“We wholeheartedly endorse Thien Ho, who with two decades of experience as a prosecutor, will provide justice to victims and support working families, by prosecuting those who engage in wage theft and hold them fully accountable so that we can protect as many construction workers as possible.”

“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of the hard-working men and women of the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local No. 104,” said Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney Thien Ho. “As chief of the Justice and Community Relations Bureau at the DA’s office, we unite around our shared values and the responsibility to take care of working families, while offering a new pathway for others,” Ho added.

Ho’s campaign announced earlier this month his race has opened a wide lead in fundraising with more than $519,000 in 2021.

As a refugee who fled Vietnam seeking freedom and opportunities for a better life, Thien Ho is the embodiment of the American Dream. As a lawyer with 23 years of experience, Thien has pursued justice every time he steps into the courtroom. As a deputy district attorney, Thien has prosecuted the most violent and dangerous criminals, including the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. As the Assistant Chief Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento County, Thien manages and oversees an entire bureau of lawyers who protect the public, collaborate with community partners, and guard the integrity of the criminal justice system.
